American Film Institute Top 10 Films of the Year Announced – We previously show the Full list of American Film Institute Awards and now we are please to in the general public that the Top 10 films of the year have been announced by The American Film Institute (or AFI). And the big winner of the day was Paramount Pictures, which secured three of the award hopefuls in the lineup.
‘Zootopia’ Cracks the Lineup With Paramount Pictures Securing 3 Spots. Because Oscar hopeful is not considered an “American” film, that is why “Lion” being omitted is not too surprising. Meanwhile, no confirmation has come through as that being the reason for the omission.
In the art of the moving image, AFI Awards celebrate the year’s most outstanding achievements — with 10 films and 10 television programs deemed culturally and artistically significant.
