Biography Of The Dancing Senator
Senator Ademola Adeleke who is Popularly known as the “Dancing Senator” was born to the family of Ayoola Adeleke – a Muslim father and Nnena Esther Adeleke – an Igbo Christian mother on May 13th, 1960 in Enugu. His father was Late Senator Raji Ayoola Adeleke the Balogun of Ede land in Osun State.
The Senator is an Uncle to the Popular Nigerian musician named Davido and a Father two Nigerian musicians named B-Red and Sina Rambo.
He commenced his primary education at Methodist Primary School, Surulere Lagos then relocated to Old Oyo State and attended Nawarudeen Primary School, Ikire. He progressed to The Seventh Day Adventist Secondary School, Ede also in the then Old Oyo State and later moved to Muslim Grammar School Ede
Adeleke started higher studies at Jacksonville State University Alabama in United State of America where he was majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in Political Science. Ademola Adeleke is a business man and administrator.
Adeleke started his political career in 2001. He contested at the Osun west 2017 by-election after the death of his brother – Senator Isiaka Adeleke who died in April 2017, He emerged winner under the People’s Democratic Party.
Ademola was a member under the All Progressives Congress until he decamped to the People’s Democratic Party in April 2017
He ran for Osun state governorship election under the PDP against top contenders Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola of APC and Iyiola Omisore of SDP on the 22nd of September, 2018 – Though the Election was declared “inconclusive” by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) and a rerun slated on the 27th of September, 2018.
