The federal Government on N-power employment Scheme has approved an additional N4,500 monthly electronic device Grants for each of the 200,000 beneficiaries of the N-power Scheme. The electronic device said will be filled with applications that will enhance and improve the skills of the beneficiaries during the Period of their N-Power Programme.
Checking the Records, About 149,669 Nigerian graduates out of the 200,000 under the N-Power Volunteer Corps engaged by the Federal Government have started receiving the monthly stipend of N30, 000.
These 149,669 Nigerian Graduates have been physically verified and deployed across the 36 states and FCT.
A Senior Special Assistant on Media & Publicity to the Vice President, Mr. Laolu Akande, disclosed this on Tuesday while giving an update on the Social Investment Programmes of Buhari administration.
Mr. Akande added that the N4,500 monthly device grant was also to afford them (beneficiaries) additional training opportunities during the two-year duration of the job program.
He Further added that the device grant is in conjunction with the Bank of Industry which extended an asset finance of 20 months to each of the 200,000 N-Power beneficiaries. Each of the beneficiaries would select their choice of device among 9 different Bank Of Industry pre-approved vendors, after their verification.
The price ranges from N3,000 to N6,7000 monthly deductions for the next 20months.
Meanwhile N4,500 device grant will cover the full monthly deduction cost; while on the other hand, the graduate authorizes the Bank Of Indusrty to deduct the additional differential cost from their monthly stipends depending on the device chosen.
