MTN CEO resigns in wake over NCC $5.2bn Nigerian fine – Following the fine from Nigerian Communications Commission of $5.2 billion, Sifiso Dabengwa the CEO of MTN has resigned from the company. MTN CEO resigns in wake over NCC $5.2bn Nigerian fine

As we all know that the fine was handed out to the company for failing to cut off unregistered sim card lines in Nigeria, and has until the 16th of November to pay the fine.

Mr Sifiso Dabengwa in a statement “Due to the most unfortunate prevailing circumstances occurring at MTN Nigeria, I, in the interest of the company and its shareholders, have tendered my resignation with immediate effect,”
