President Donald Trump Signs Executive order to keep out radical islamic terrorists – President Donald Trump has signed an executive order implementing what he called “new vetting measures” that he says are aimed at keeping “radical Islamic terrorists” out of the United States. This order is to Set a hard-line tone on national security.
In a Statement, the president said, “We don’t want them here. We want to ensure that we are not admitting into our country the very threats our soldiers are fighting overseas. We only want to admit those into our country who will support our country and love deeply our people.”
The president signed the executive order at the Pentagon, where he met with the joint chiefs of staff and participated in a ceremonial swearing-in for Defense Secretary James Mattis.
We could vividly remember that During his election campaign against Hillary Clinton, Trump pledged to put in place “extreme vetting” procedures to screen people coming to the U.S. from countries with terrorism ties.
The order imposes a 90-day ban on all entry to the United States from countries with terrorism concerns.
According to a white house official, A draft of the order had designated seven predominantly Muslim countries, which includes: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.
The order signed by president Trump reads; “I hereby proclaim that the entry of nationals of Syria as refugees is detrimental to the interests of the United States and thus suspend any such entry“.
