Do you have a new android phone and a new sim-card and have verified your mobile number on it for Whatsapp, and you wish to use old whatsapp account or transfer your Account to the new device? Well, it’s Possible, but it does not guarantee you an automatic transfer of chat histories and medias.

In using the Old Account;
- Make sure that the new sim Card you wish to use is able to receive SMS, calls and have an active data connection and note that the number you enter will be use later into the new phone number box.
If you want to see the Number Verified on Whatsapp;
- Open WhatsApp
- Go to Menu Button
- Now to Settings and then tapping on your profile photo
How to Use Old Whatsapp Account on New Android
Now after you have made sure the New Sim Card is Able to do the following listed Above; Then
- On the Old Phone, Open Whatsapp
- Then go to Go to Menu Button
- Settings > Account > Change number
- In the Old Phone Number Box, Enter the Number Currently Verified
- In the new phone number box, enter the Number you want to use and Complete the Verification Process
From here, You can create a manual backup by following this steps below;
- Open WhatsApp
- Go to Menu Button
- Then to Settings > Chats > Chat backup > Backup.
Now on the New phone
- Transfer your chat history from your old to your new phone; to do that See: HERE
- Open WhatsApp.
- Then Verify the number you want to use with WhatsApp.
Note that After your Change to the new sim Number, your chat history will continue to be available on your phone with the new phone number as you continue using the same phone.
