NYSC regrets delay in payment of December 2016 corps allowance to Corps members  – The national youth service corps (NYSC) management regrets and apologizes to corps members who are yet to receive their 2016 December allowance in some states. Corps members were asked to be patient as efforts are been made to see that they will be paid soon.

The NYSC management wish to let all corps members know that effort are made in conjunction with the Ministry of Finance and the Office of the Accountant-General to address the cause of delay, and “we have received assurances of positive outcomes soon,” said the Management.

What NYSC is all about?

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is an organisation set up by the Nigerian government to involve the country’s graduates in the development of the country. With Brig Gen Jide Olawumi as Director General.

With the reputation of the NYSC scheme, one would never imagine that things would get to a point where the management would be unable to pay corp members their allowance.

Yes, the National Youth Service Corps management has however defaulted. They were unable to pay the 2016 December allowance of corp members in some states. Now they regret and apologizes for the delay.

And for those that have been patient so far, the management appreciates them so much and promise that they will smile very soon.
